Jennie DeBord

Former Hastings resident, Jennie I. DeBord, 97, of Haven Home, Kenesaw, Nebraska, died Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at Haven Home.

Graveside services and burial will be Friday, October 14, 2005; 11:00 A.M. at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska with Rev. James Miller officiating.

Mrs. DeBord was born September 12, 1908 in Harlan County near Wilcox, Nebraska to Lee W. & Esther (Kellogg) Newton. She moved with her family to Hastings, Nebraska in 1919 and graduated from Hastings High School. She married George DeBord and he preceded her in death in 1979. She worked at Inglesides, now Hastings Regional Center. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Mrs. DeBord was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George, an infant child, one sister and one brother.
