Jeremy Thompson

Hastings resident, Jeremy James Thompson, 38, lost his battle with cancer at home with family by his side, Wednesday, December 3, 2014.

Memorial Services will be Monday, December 8, 2014; 11:00 A.M. at First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Hastings with Pastor Dustin Bower officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. There will be no viewing or visitation. Book signing will be Saturday, December 6, 2014; 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Jeremy was born June 5, 1976 in Arlington, Texas. He resided in Fairbury Nebraska until he moved to Hastings in 1981. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1995. Jeremy worked at Wal-Mart for several years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, the family dogs, watching sports and cooking shows. He also enjoyed listening to music and going fishing.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jim Silvester; grandparents, Dwaine & Norla Asch; and uncle, Gary Asch.
