Jerome L. Tillemans, Sr., 73, of Nebraska Veterans Home, Grand Island, Nebraska, died Saturday, August 3, 2002 at the Veterans Home.
Rosary service will be Tuesday, August 6, 2002; 7:30 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel, Hastings, Nebraska. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, August 7, 2002; 10:00 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hastings, Nebraska with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial with military rites will be Wednesday, August 7, 2002; 2.00 P.M. at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Elm Creek, Nebraska with Father Mark Maresh officiating.
Jerome L. Tillemans, Sr. was born November 23, 1928 in Milbank, South Dakota to Henry & Petronella (Croymans) Tillemans. He graduated from Milbank High School in 1946. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War from April 6, 1951 to April 4, 1953. In June of 1954, he married Jolietta C. Boesch and she preceded him in death on September 6, 1994. He worked in construction and moved from Elm Creek, Nebraska to Good Samaritan Village Hastings, Nebraska after the death of his wife. In 1996, he moved to the Nebraska Veterans Home, Grand Island, Nebraska. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hastings, Nebraska.
Jerome L. Tillemans, Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Jolietta, 9 brothers and sisters and 1 granddaughter.
