Jerry Snavely

Hastings resident, Jerry L. Snavely, 64, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 at his home.

Memorial Service will be Thursday, March 5, 2015; 11:00 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Rev. Dr. Lee R. Wigert officiating. Burial will be at a later date . Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. There will be no viewing or visitation. The family requests you wear casual attire to the memorial service.

Jerry was born on January 28, 1951 in Superior, Nebraska to Leo & Norma Jean (McGowan) Snavely. In high school, Jerry participated in wrestling and Golden Glove Boxing. He graduated from Superior High School in 1969. Also, Jerry attended Central Community College in Hastings. He worked for Thomsen Oil Company and Mr. Tire as a mechanic. On April 30, 1994, Jerry married Janice Kay Rose. Jerry was a member of the Eagle's Club. Jerry was an avid hunter, loved motorcycles, and enjoyed riding them. Jerry was an animal lover and always had a pet.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Gilbert Rose; and brother-in-law, Dennis Rose.
