Jessie Johnson

Hastings resident, Jessie M. Johnson, 86, died Thursday, March 17, 2005 at Edgewood Vista, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Wednesday, March 23, 2005; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel, Hastings, Nebraska with Rev. Millard Huett officiating. Burial will be in Burwell Cemetery, Burwell, Nebraska, Wednesday, March 23, 2005; 2:30 P.M.

Mrs. Johnson was born September 15, 1918 in Burwell, Nebraska to Wilfred & Nellie (Maxon) Butcher. She graduated from Burwell High School and from Business School in Grand Island, Nebraska with a degree in bookkeeping. On August 24, 1940, she married Chester Raymond Johnson in Burwell, Nebraska and he preceded her in death on June 18, 1994. She was a bookkeeper for KHAS Radio and later for Sunnyside Home. She attended Assembly of God Church, now North Shore Assembly of God.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, husband, C. Raymond, one brother and four sisters.
