Kenesaw resident, Joan Brigetta Consbruck Runyan, 82, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at her home.
Rosary will be Wednesday, January 18, 2017; 6:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, January 19, 2017; 10:30 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will in Kenesaw Cemetery, Kenesaw, Nebraska on Thursday, January 19, 2017; 1:00 P.M. Memorials may be given to the St. Michael's Church Endowment Fund. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 18, 2017; 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Joan was born December 17, 1934 in Hastings, Nebraska to Matthew & Brigetta Margaret (Seyler) Consbruck. She married William C. Runyan on June 7, 1955. Joan worked for Hastings Industries in the accounting department and Allen's. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Altar Society, and Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Joan was the church organist for many years. She was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary, and 8 & 40 group. Joan enjoyed playing the organ, playing cards, and volunteering work at many organizations.
Joan was preceded in death by a son, Michael Runyan, her parents, Matthew and Brigetta, and four sisters, Evelyn Loskill, Elaine Pittz, Darlene Halbmaier, and Helen Walker.
