John Ackerman

Hastings resident, John H. Ackerman, 59, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 at UNMC, Omaha, Nebraska.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, June 13, 2017; 9:30 A.M. in Sutton Cemetery, Sutton, Nebraska. Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 A.M. at Faith Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Paul Dunbar officiating. Memorials may be given to the family. There will be no viewing or visitation.

John was born August 10, 1957 to Norman & Elaine (Spomer) Ackerman in Henderson, Nebraska. John graduated from Sutton High School. He, then joined the United States Army. John worked for Willis Hunt for over 30 years.

John was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. One of John's favorite things to do was tell stories. Many would say that he could not make up a story and it had to be true. John loved to be outdoors but most of all he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents.
