Hastings resident, John A. Drohman, Jr., 73, of 632 South Kansas, died Sunday, December 18, 2005 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.
Services will be Thursday, December 22, 2005; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Heuer officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.
Mr. Drohman was born June 1, 1932 in Hastings, Nebraska to John A. Sr, & Theresa (Haase) Drohman. On September 8, 1955, he married Norma Graham He served in the United States Army during the Korean War from November 14, 1952 until November 13, 1954. He was a police officer for the Hastings Police Department from 1966 until his retirement in 1991. He was instrumental in starting School Resource Officer, later known as the Officer Friendly Program. He was a member the Fraternal Order of Police.
Mr. Drohman was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Amber Kreinheder and a sister, Maxine Young.
