John Fingeret

Hastings resident, John Robert "Bob" Fingeret, 76, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Central City Care Center, Central City, Nebraska.

Rosary will be Friday, June 13, 2014; 7:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, June 14, 2014; 10:30 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be Saturday, June 14, 2014; 1:30 P.M. in Holy Family Cemetery, Heartwell, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to St. Michael's Catholic Church Endowment Fund, c/o St. Michael's Catholic Church or Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration, 7665 Assisi Heights, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80919. Visitation will be Friday, June 13, 2014; 1:00 P.M - 9:00 P.M at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Bob was born July 7, 1937 in Heartwell, Nebraska to Samuel M. & Edna R. (Billesbach) Fingeret. He moved from Heartwell to Hastings in the 1950's and married Carol Ann Johansen on September 3, 1960 at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Hastings. Bob worked for Hastings Irrigation for 41 years and retired as sales manager. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and was a former member of the Knights of Columbus. Bob enjoyed camping, fishing, spending time with his family, and restoring antique vehicles. He was an avid sports fan.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jack Fingeret; and father-in-law, Clarence Johansen.
