John Reutter

Hastings resident, John J. Reutter, 85, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at his home.

Services will be Friday, April 1, 2016; 11:00 A.M. at Lakeside Community Church of the Nazarene, Hastings with Pastor John Whitsett officiating. Burial with military rites by the Hastings Veterans Organizations will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 30, 2016; 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M., Thursday, March 31, 2016; 9:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. with family present from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to Lakeside Community Church of the Nazarene.

John was born March 15, 1931 in Leavenworth, Kansas and adopted by John Fredrick & Edna May (Styer) Reutter. John served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1951 - 1953. John married Lola Irene Rothfuss on January 20, 1954. He worked as a crane operator and yard manager for H.M. Zuber Company for over 30 years.

John was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Laura Beals and Maxine Groner.
