Hastings resident Jolene M.(Hunt)Richardson, age 77, died Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Phelps Memorial Health Center, Holdrege, Nebraska.
Services will be Thursday, April 21, 2016; 10:30 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Greg Clark officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to the Jolene M. Richardson Memorial Fund or Kearney Church Of Christ. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 19, 2016; 3:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 20, 2016; 9:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 5:30 P.M. - 7:30 P.M., and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
Jolene was born November 1, 1938 to parents Frank Albert & Helen Marie (Kluver) Hunt in Hastings, Nebraska. She attended Hastings High School, & was a lifelong resident of Hastings. She married Myron "Tiny" Richardson in January of 1961.
She worked at Sears, Gas 'N Shop, Rutt's Heating & Air Conditioning and Good Samaritan Village, Perkins Pavilion as Director of Housekeeping for a number of years until her retirement in 2001.
Jolene was an avid reader, enjoyed NCIS, loved westerns especially John Wayne movies, coca-cola, singing around the house, cooking for her family and enjoyed family gatherings.
Jolene was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Janice E. Young, and one brother, Jerry A. Hunt.
She is survived by children and their spouses; daughter, Denise L. & Ken Hill of Grand Island, Nebraska; daughter, Teresa M. Siebrass of Webber, Kansas; son, Mark A. & Barb Richardson of Kearney, Nebraska & son, Michael J. Richardson of Denver, Colorado; 6 grandchildren, Jerry W. Parks, Joshua M. Necas, Matthew A. Richardson, Aaron A. Necas, Erin M. Jarzynka & Kiley R. McCoy; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings & spouses; Judy (Hunt) & Larry Rader, Jack & Cindy Hunt & John & Linda Hunt, all of Hastings, Nebraska, plus numerous nieces, nephews & friends.
