Joshua Hedlund

Hastings resident, Joshua M. "Josh" Hedlund, 18, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016 in Hastings, Nebraska, asthe result ofan automobile accident.

Rosary will be Wednesday, June 22, 2016; 7:00 P.M. with the family present from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. to greet relatives and friends at Butler Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 23, 2016; 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Hastings with Father Joseph M. Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 22, 2016; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Josh was born February 28, 1998 in Hastings, Nebraska to Don Hedlund & Susan (Brophy) Steinkruger. He was homeschooled from 8th grade through the 12th grade and graduated May 15, 2016. Josh planned to attend Central Community College for welding.

Josh worked at Rival's in the kitchen and was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and working at Rival's. Josh was a very caring person with a huge heart and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Josh was preceded in death by his grandfather & spouse, Martin "Bud" & Twila Hedlund and grandmother, Mary Brophy.
