Joshua Patterson

Hastings resident, Joshua B. Patterson, 34, of 837 N. Hastings, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008 in Hastings.

Memorial services will be Saturday, May 10, 2008; 10:00 A.M. at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Lee Wigert officiating. Inurnment will be in Parkview Columbarium. Book signing will be Friday, May 9, 2008; 9A.M.-5P.M. at the funeral home & Saturday, May 10, 2008; 1 hr. prior to service a the church. Joshua was born December 17, 1973 in Topeka, Kansas to Joe & Sherri (Folsom) Patterson. He moved to Hastings with his family in 1980 and graduated from Hastings High School in 1992. He graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln in 1997 with a bachelors degree in Business & Finance. He moved to Omaha, Nebraska and worked at Info U.S.A., Morgan Stanley and Nebraska Motor Truck. He married Gina Martinez and they later divorced. He then moved to Hastings and worked for the City of Hastings Parks Department. Josh loved University of Kansas Basketball, University of Nebraska Football, music and poetry.

Josh was preceded in death by his grandfather, I.B. Patterson; step grandfather, Gordon A. King and an uncle, Gary Patterson.
