Joyce Carpenter

Hastings resident, Joyce M. Carpenter, 58, of 615 S. Hastings, died Friday, October 15, 2004 at Perkins Pavilion.

Services will be Tuesday, October 19, 2004; 10:30 A.M. at the Lakeside Community Church of the Nazarene with Pastor David Speicher officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Ms. Carpenter was born June 13, 1946 in Hastings, Nebraska, to Glenn G. & Fara (Barta) Carpenter. She graduated from Hastings High School and attended Bethany Nazarene College, Bethany, Oklahoma and Kearney State College, Kearney, Nebraska. She was office manager for Dr. Wayne Ganow before becoming a motivational speaker for Christian Women's Clubs, various service clubs, churches and schools. She was a very active member of Lakeside Community Church of the Nazarene, where she held many offices. She supported After 5 Christian Women's Club and was past president. She was a life long Hastings resident.

Ms. Carpenter was preceded in death by her father, Glenn G. and twin brother, Jerry Carpenter.
