Joyce Hoffman

Hastings resident, Joyce J. Hoffman, 73, of 738 E. 2nd St., died Sunday, March 28, 2004 at Perkins Pavilion.

Memorial service will be Thursday, April 1, 2004; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel, Hastings, Nebraska with Rev. Frank Kerkemeyer officiating. Private family interment at a later date.

Mrs. Hoffman was born September 25, 1930 in Boelus, Nebraska to Ofelt & Mildred N. (Hedglin) Pedersen. She graduated from Hastings High School, Hastings, Nebraska. In 1947, she married William M. Feurt and he preceded her in death in 1963. She moved from Arvada, Colorado back to Hastings, Nebraska in 1957. She attended Central Community College and was a dietary supervisor and tech at Good Samaritan Village. In 1970, she married Delbert Hoffman and he preceded her in death in 1976. She was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Hoffman was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, William M. Feurt and second husband, Delbert Hoffman, three sons, David W. Feurt, William M. Feurt, Jr., and an infant son and one brother.

Survivors include,
Daughter: Joyce Feurt Lassen - Elba, NE
Sons: James L. Feurt - Lawrence, KS
Terry A. Feurt - Hastings, NE
Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Sisters: Claudette Siems - Hays, KS
Karen Wallace - Ladylake, FL
Brother: Delno 'Buddy' Pedersen - Hastings, NE
