Joyce June Sell

Hastings resident Joyce June Sell, 81, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025, at her home. 

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 22, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Chaplain Lisa Ewald officiating. The burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. with the family present 5-7 p.m. Friday, February 21, and one hour before the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. The service will be live-streamed on Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home’s website. Joyce was born May 10, 1943, in Red Cloud, NE to Thomas and Gladys (Bartley) Elliott. She graduated from Holstein High School. Joyce married Charles Sell on January 22, 1967; he preceded her in death on July 24, 2011.

Joyce worked as a piston ring inspector at The Dana Corporation in Hastings until it closed. Joyce loved to go and play Bingo and enjoyed working in her yard.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Sell; son, Scott Sell; and siblings, Wilma, Dale, Merna, Dallas, Marcelene, Dewayne, and Chuck.
