Hastings resident, Judie A. Weber, 77, passed away Friday, December 15, 2017, at Grand Island Park Place Care & Rehabilitation, Grand Island, Nebraska.
Graveside Service with military honors by Hastings Veterans Organizations will be Tuesday, January 9, 2018; 2:00 P.M. in Roseland Cemetery, Roseland, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. There will be no viewing or visitation.
Judie was born May 1, 1940, in Roseland, Nebraska to Virgil & Edith (Wermeskerch) Means. She graduated from Central Community College in Hastings with a degree in nursing. Judie served in the U.S. Navy from February 21, 1959, until March 3, 1961. She married Jerry L. Weber in South Dakota; he preceded her in death on June 21, 1984.
Judie was employed as a secretary for Hastings Industries, nurses' aide at Good Samaritan Village and area hospitals, and was a bus monitor for Hastings Public Schools. She was a past member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Judie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry L. Weber; daughter, Bonnie L. Weber; granddaughter, Julie Sharp; and step-daughter, Susan Simmons.
