Judith Vacek

Hastings resident, Judith L. "Judy" Vacek, 67, of 3322 Parklane #102, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at her residence.

Services will be Monday, February 22, 2010; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel, Hastings with Rev. Adam White officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Saturday, February 20, 2010; 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M., Sunday, February 21, 2010; 1:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. with the family present, and 1 hour prior to service at Butler-Volland Chapel. Memorials may be given to the family; a memorial will be established at a later date.

Judy was born August 16, 1942 in Holdrege, Nebraska to Lawrence & Marion (Clark) Young. She graduated from Geneva High School. After graduating from high school she served in the Air Force. On June 22, 1972 she married Joseph Vacek in Grand Island, Nebraska. She worked as a clerk/secretary for Cash-Wa Candy until her recent retirement.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.
