Hastings resident, Julia A. Lantis, 81, of 1100 North 6th Avenue #215, died Sunday, June 25, 2006 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.
Services will be Friday, June 30, 2006; 1:30 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Dr. William E. Deahl, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, all in Hastings, Nebraska.
Mrs. Lantis was born October 20, 1924 in Franklin, Nebraska to Chester & Ella (Erdman) Joy. She graduated from Franklin High School. She was a secretary with the Farm Security Administration. On April 23, 1944, she married Mel Lantis. They lived in Imperial, Nebraska and Waco, Texas before moving to Hastings, Nebraska in 1964. She was the office manager at the Hastings College Athletic Department for 16 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Eastern Star, China Belles and the YWCA.
Mrs. Lantis was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donald Joy.
