Hastings resident, Julia Johanna Martha Sheets, 91, of Perkins Pavilion, died Sunday, May 8, 2005 at Perkins Pavilion.
Services will be Wednesday, May 11, 2005; 10:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. William E. Deahl, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Inland Cemetery, Inland, Nebraska.
Mrs. Sheets was born November 26, 1913 in Washington, Kansas to William & Anna Katharina (Rothfuss) Peters. She moved with her family to Inland, Nebraska as an infant. She attended country schools and graduated from Harvard High School, Harvard, Nebraska in 1932. She married Ivan Edward Sheets on October 16, 1940 in Clay Center, Nebraska and he preceded her in death on May 22, 1969. She moved to Hastings, Nebraska in 1970. She was a housewife for most of her life. After her husband passed away, she worked at Good Samaritan Village. She also worked for Dr. & Mrs. E.C. Foote for several years. She was then a care giver to her father for 12 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and a past member of Trumbull Women's Society.
Mrs. Sheets was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Walter Peters.
