June was born on June 30, 1916 in Red Cloud, Nebraska to Earl H. & Florence (Guy) Weber. On October 10, 1935 she married Vernon Karsting in Hastings, Nebraska. Vernon went to our Heavenly Father too early in life on May 30, 1978 and we know that June missed him dearly since that day. Their love was so deep for each other and we know that they are both at peace now that they are together in Heaven. Through their love, they had five beautiful children. She enjoyed watching her children grow up and have families of their own. June was blessed to have 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren that she loved, and they adored her and will cherish every memory they had with her. You could always find her refrigerator full of pictures of them and pictures drawn by them. She was always very proud of her family and always had many stories to tell. We all loved hearing the stories of her and Vernon. So many people loved June because she so openly loved others. She often spoke of her very dear friend Pauline and all the other relationships she formed while she lived at Good Samaritan Village for 15 years of her life. She enjoyed playing Bingo, Yatzee, and the card game 31. She loved to share those passions with her family when they were around. Family that she loved and equally loved her always surrounded her. She always carried fruit flavored Certs anywhere she went and we will all remember her and smile every time we smell those. She made the best chili and potato salad that we all tried to copy, but no one made them as good as she did. We all have fond memories of sneaking spoonfuls of her famous chili when we would visit her in California. She also had a love for Hunan's Chinese and Taco John's. We all enjoyed sharing those with her! We will always remember our summer vacations every year on the houseboat with her. Anytime we were all together, she was always there right in the middle, even if it meant she was on a jet ski. June knew how to enjoy life. She parasailed for her 80th birthday and for her 85th birthday, most of her entire family joined her for a cruise to Mexico. June also enjoyed many cruises and trips with her family that she always looked forward to. She was happiest when she was with her family and always enjoyed those times when she could be with them. June was a great inspiration for us, with a great love for life and would always have some kind of chocolate for us whenever we visited. We will miss her dearly, but we also know that she is happy now and that we will see her again.
June was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon Karsting; three sisters; two brothers; and one great-grandson.
