June 19, 1918 — September 7, 2010

Hastings resident, June Rose (Knowles) Samuelson, 92, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard, Nebraska.

A memorial service will be Wednesday, August 11, 2010; 10:00 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Monday, August 9, 2010; 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 10, 2010; 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and 1 hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to First St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

June was born June 19, 1918 in McCook, Nebraska to Ralph & Kate (Brenning) Knowles. She spent her childhood years in Grand Island moving to Harvard at the age of 13. She graduated from Harvard High School in May of 1938. On November 12, 1938 she married LeRoy W. Samuelson in Grand Island, Nebraska. They lived on the family farm until retiring in 1980 when they moved to Hastings, Nebraska. June was a Clay County 4-H leader, served on the Extension & Fair boards, was an active member of Saronville Methodist Church & WSCS, and was a member of the Happy Homemakers Clay County Extension Club.

June was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeRoy Samuelson; and one great-grandchild.
