Hastings resident Karen L. Harrison, 59, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, at her home.

Karen, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of resilience, kindness, and unwavering spirit. Despite life's challenges, Karen's tenacity for life allowed her to create a warm and welcoming home that reflected her deep love for animals of all kinds. You would often find her home filled with the sound of the TV, but she was always on the go, never sitting still for long periods.
Her generosity knew no bounds; she would willingly sacrifice her last dollar to ensure the well-being of others, including her beloved companion, Miley. Her acts of kindness and compassion touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Karen will be cherished by her loved ones, leaving a memory of her infectious laughter, boundless charisma, and the warmth of her heart. Karen will be greatly missed, but her legacy of love and resilience will continue to inspire us all.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents.
