Karen Parks

Hastings resident, Karen L. Parks, 69, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Mary Lanning HealthCare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Memorial Services will be Wednesday, September 11, 2013; 1:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Rev. Barry Rempp officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date, c/o Guardian Angels, 211 N. Smith Avenue, Kenesaw, Nebraska 68956. There will be no viewing or visitation.

Karen was born January 13, 1944 in Denver, Colorado to Walter & Carol (Ewing) Humphrey. She graduated from Ansley High School. Karen married Roger S. Parks on May 23, 1963 in Ansley, Nebraska. She owned her own real estate business and worked at Wal-Mart at the service desk for many years.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott Parks; one brother; and one sister.
