Karen M. Ransom

Hastings resident Karen M. Ransom, 79, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025, at her home.

Memorial Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 24, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Father Craig Clinch officiating. There will be no burial at this time. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Karen was born January 12, 1946, in Phoenix, AZ to Alvin “Neil” and Francis (Langdon) Grinstead. She graduated from Hastings High School. Karen married Howard Ransom on April 26, 1962, at the Redeemer Evangelical Church in Hastings. She worked in retail sales for Gibsons and Kmart; retiring in 2008. Karen loved her flowers, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents.
