Katie Asmus, 94, of 607 Lane B, Good Samaritan Village, Hastings, Nebraska, died Sunday, October 6, 2002 at Blue Hill Care Center, Blue Hill, Nebraska.

Services will be Thursday, October 10, 2002; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Katie Asmus was born October 27, 1907 in rural Clay County, Nebraska to Claus & Helen (Saathoff) Hinrichs. She married Frederick Asmus on February 28, 1928 in Glenvil, Nebraska and he preceded her in death in 1987. They farmed in rural Adams County before she moved into Hastings, Nebraska in 1995.

Katie Asmus was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frederick, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
