Keith Placke

Glenvil resident, Keith R. Placke, 79, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Monday, April 3, 2017; 10:00 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial with military rites by Hastings Veterans Organizations will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to the family for Edgewood Vista Memory Care or Adams County 4-H. Visitation will be Saturday, April 1, 2017; 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M., Sunday, April 2, 2017; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Keith was born May 20, 1937 in Kenesaw, Nebraska to Henry & Elsie (Warnke) Placke. He graduated from Kenesaw High School in 1955. Keith married Delores Hartzell on June 3, 1962. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 until 1958 and with the Army Reserves from 1958 until 1962.

Keith worked at Dutton-Lainson Company from 1961 until 1999 and farmed from 1971 until 2014. He was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Norval Placke, Charles Placke, and Lyle Placke.
