Kendra Hock

Former Hastings resident, Kendra Elizabeth (Janssen) Hock, 23, of Gurley, Nebraska, died Monday, October 27, 2008 near Eustis, Nebraska as a result of an automobile accident.

Services will be Saturday, November 1, 2008; 10:30 A.M. at North Shore Assembly of God Church with Pastor Tony Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Kendra E. Hock Memorial Fund. Visitation will be Thursday, October 30, 2008; 5:00 P.M.-9P.M. with family present from 6:30 P.M. until 8 P.M., Friday, October 31, 2008; 9:00 A.M.-6:00 P.M. at the funeral home and 1 hr. prior to service, Saturday, November 1, 2008 at the church.

Kendra was born June 17, 1985 in Hastings, Nebraska to Kevin L. & Michelle F. (Hartman) Janssen. She attended Hastings Public Schools until 8th grade, was home schooled and received her GED. On June 28, 2008, she married Wesley S. Hock at the North Shore Assembly of God Church and moved to Culbertson, Nebraska and later to Gurley, Nebraska. She was currently studying Veterinary Medicine at Western Nebraska Community College, Sidney, Nebraska. She attended Dalton Assembly of God Church in Dalton, Nebraska.

Kendra was a very special person. She touched so many people throughout her life. She had an amazing relationship with her Heavenly Father, and wanted others to experience what she had. Kendra had a deep passion for horses. When she rode she was free. She was a wonderful wife, daughter, sister and friend. Her family was very dear to her. Kendra will be extremely missed, but we know we will see her again.

Kendra Hock was preceded in death by her grandfather, Harlan Janssen.
