Kenneth Engelhardt

Kenneth L. Engelhardt, 76, of Giltner, Nebraska, died Wednesday, May 9, 2001 in Connell, Washington.

Services will be Thursday, May 17, 2001; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Nora Leeds officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Blue Hill Cemetery, Blue Hill, Nebraska.

Kenneth L. Engelhardt was born May 17, 1924 in Deweese, Nebraska to Leon Christopher & Ethel Adeline (Clifton) Engelhardt. He attended Hastings High School and served in the United States Army during WWII from February 4, 1943 until June 9, 1945, at which time he was wounded in action. On September 12, 1948, he married Shirley Rankin and they later divorced. He retired as the grounds superintendent from the Hastings Regional Center on March 28, 1986 after 39 years. He resided in Giltner, Nebraska the last 15 years.

Kenneth L. Engelhardt was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Leland Engelhardt and sisters, Althea Bland, Arlene Hoffman and Bernice Tobias.
