Hastings resident, Ken Hemberger, 78, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Rosary will be Tuesday, July 14, 2015; 7:30 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, July 15, 2015; 10:30 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date in Memory of Ken & Kevin Hemberger. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 14, 2015; 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home and one hour prior to service at the church.

Ken was born August 28, 1936 in Adams County near Kenesaw, Nebraska to Frank & Angela (Parr) Hemberger. He attended school in Assumption. On June 9, 1956, Ken married Catherine Hoffman in the Assumption Catholic Church, rural Juniata. Ken was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a past member of the Eagles. He served in the Nebraska National Guard for six years. He was a contractor and owned & operated Ken Hemberger Construction.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kevin Hemberger; brother, Alfred Hemberger; sister, Marge Phillips and infant sister Bonnie.
