Kevin Klatt

Hastings resident, Kevin A. Klatt, 50, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska after a long and courageous battle with health issues.

Services will be Friday, January 19, 2018; 11:00 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Private family burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Mary Lanning Healthcare Foundation. Visitation will be Thursday, January 18, 2018; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with the family present 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Kevin was born September 11, 1967, in Hastings, Nebraska to Terry & Susie (Elliott) Klatt. He graduated from Adams Central High School in 1985 and attended Central Community College in Hastings. Kevin married Jennifer Cuba in 1992 and they fostered and adopted six children. In 2001, the family was awarded Nebraska Adoption Angel Award; they later divorced.

Kevin was employed by Modern Methods Inc. from 1986 through 2008, then he was employed as AR/AP Manager for Quality Sound & Communications in Hastings. He was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Kevin was a car enthusiast and loved going to the car races and car shows when his health permitted. Kevin was a huge Richard Petty fan and had many mementos of Richard Petty.

Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold & Jeanne Klatt and "Buzz" & June Elliott; aunt and uncles, Joyce & Mike Elliott and Ken Ruisinger.
