LaMoine W. Utecht, 77, of 5802 Quail Ridge Ave, died Thursday, May 16, 2002 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lincoln, Nebraska

Services will be Monday, May 20, 2002; 2:00 P.M. at Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. Donald E. Boeschen officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

LaMoine W. Utecht was born April 28, 1925 in Adams County, Nebraska to William & Lora (Hazebrook) Utecht. He attended country school and graduated from Hastings Senior High School in 1945. On August 14, 1949, he married Thalia Burns, in Hastings, Nebraska. He was a life-long resident of Adams County and served on the District 33 board of education, the Rural Fire Department, Co-op Board and the Farm Bureau, where he was president in 1975-1976. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and served on various boards. He was clerk of the West Blue Township, served on the Adams County Planning and Zoning Commission and he and his wife were 4-H leaders.

LaMoine W. Utecht was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one grandchild.
