Laura Hiatt

Laura E. Colburn Hiatt, 97, of Perkins Pavilion, died Monday, April 14, 2003 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Friday, April 18, 2003; 10:30 A.M. at First Untied Methodist Church with Dr. Sam Rathod officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Hastings, Nebraska.

Laura E. Colburn Hiatt was born September 1, 1905 in Waverly, Ohio to William & Sara (Green) Colburn. She graduated from Eckley High School near Lawrence, Nebraska. She married Vern Hiatt in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on November 7, 1926 and he preceded her in death on February 11, 1969. She moved from Edgar, Nebraska to Hastings in the 1940's. During WWII, she worked at the Naval Ammunition Depot. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church . She was active in Adams County Senior Services.

Laura E. Colburn Hiatt was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Vern; infant daughter, Eunice; daughter, Linda Sansone; 6 brothers, 2 sisters, 2 grandsons, Craig Adcock & Joe Hiatt, 1 great granddaughter, Haley Hiatt and 2 great grandsons.

Survivors include,

Eugene & Victoria Hiatt - Dallas, TX

Memorial may be given to Adams County Senior Services Or First United Methodist Church

Thur. 4-17-03; 9am-9pm with family present 7pm-9pm
Fri. 4-18-03; 1 hr. prior at the church
