Hastings resident, Lavon Hohlen, 84, of 200 West 70th St., died Sunday, February 20, 2005 at Haven Home, Kenesaw, Nebraska.
Services will be Thursday, February 24, 2005; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Pastor Larry Spomer officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.
Mrs. Hohlen was born March 25, 1920 in Pauline, Nebraska to Herman & Maria (Johnson) Valentine. She grew up in Glenvil, Spring Ranch area and attended Spring Ranch School. She married Walter G. Hohlen in December of 1945 and he preceded her in death in April of 1987. She was a homemaker and worked at the Farmers Union Store and Mackie's Market in Hastings. She was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church and taught Sunday School. She was also a member of WELCA and Homemaker's Club.
Mrs. Hohlen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walter, one brother, Herman Valentine, Jr. And her stepmother, Lucy Valentine.
