Lawrence Loskill

August 21, 1921 — October 6, 2004

Hastings resident, Lawrence 'Buster' G. Loskill, 83, of 3126 Paradise Dr., died Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at his home.

Rosary service will be Sunday, October 10, 2004; 8:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, October 11, 2004; 10:00 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial with military rites by Holstein American Legion will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mr. Loskill was born August 21, 1921 in Roseland, Nebraska to Matthias & Margaret (Theisen) Loskill. He attended Roseland Public School and served in the United States Army during WWII from November 7, 1942 to November 18, 1945. He was in the quarter- masters division in Iran. He married Berniece H. Hartman on September 21, 1946 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseland. He farmed in the Roseland area until 1971 when he moved to Hastings, due to his health. He then worked for Johnson Imperial Homes. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Eagles, V.F.W. and D.A.V. all in Hastings. He was a life member of Holstein American Legion.

Mr. Loskill was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Willie & Tony Loskill.
