Lee Blocker, 79, of 602 Shoreside Cove, died Saturday, June 1, 2002 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.
Services will be Thursday, June 6, 2002; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Reverend Neil Vik officiating. Burial will be Thursday, June 6, 2002; 2:00 P.M. at Wyuka Cemetery, Lincoln, Nebraska.
Lee Blocker was born May 20, 1923 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Roy & Ida (Patterson) Blocker. He graduated from Havelock High School and University of Nebraska both in Lincoln, Nebraska. He married Darlene 'Dee' Carlson on April 23, 1950 and she preceded him in death in 1978. He served in the United States Army during WWII from 1943-1945. He was the manager of Public Utilities in Beatrice, Nebraska and Lincoln, Nebraska before coming to Hastings, Nebraska as Public Utilities manager in1975, retiring in 1988. He was a member of Beatrice Lodge #26, A.F & A.M., York Rite, Shrine Sesostris Temple in Lincoln, American Legion, IEEE and AWA.
Lee Blocker was preceded in death by parents and wife, Darlene.
