Lenn Woods

Hastings resident, Lenn J. Woods, 67, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.

Rosary is 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 18, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Hastings with Father Jeremy Hazuka officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings with military rites by Hastings Military Honor Guard. Memorials may be given to St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Visitation is 1-7 p.m. Tuesday at Butler Volland with family present 5-7 p.m. and one hour prior to service at the church on Wednesday.

Lenn was born on October 2, 1952, in Red Cloud, NE to Leo B. & Doris J. (Kile) Woods. He moved to Hastings in 1961 and graduated from St. Cecilia High School in 1970. Lenn served in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1975. He married Lauretta Kimminau on August 2, 1980.

Lenn worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. Lenn enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s activities, watching the Huskers play, golfing, and coin and stamp collecting.

Lenn was preceded in death by his parents.
