Leo Purvis

Leo J. Purvis, 63, of 202 N. Railroad, Deweese, Nebraska, died Friday, June 14, 2002 at his home.

Rosary will be Tuesday, June 18, 2002; 10:30 A.M. with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be in Grand Island Cemetery, Grand Island, Nebraska.

Leo J. Purvis was born August 17, 1938 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Leo & Vernie (Skibinski) Woitaszewski. He was later adopted by Fred Purvis. He attended schools in Grand Island, Nebraska. On April 20, 1960, he married Nellie Kemplin in Grand Island, Nebraska and they later divorced. He was a refrigeration engineer for Armour Food Company, Hastings, Nebraska. He was a member of Eagle's Club in Grand Island and a life long area resident.

Leo J. Purvis was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Melvin, 2 sisters, Wanda & Ernestine and 4 nephews.
