Leon Ginn

Trumbull resident, Leon A. Ginn, 62, passed away Friday, May 18, 2018, at CHI St. Francis Medical Center, Grand Island, Nebraska.

Services are 10 a.m. Thursday, May 24, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Pastor Martin Leeper officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Trumbull. Memorials may be given to the Leon A. Ginn Memorial Fund. Visitation is 1-7 p.m. with family present 5-7 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Leon was born August 10, 1955 in Superior, NE to Eugene L. & Wilta “Darlene” (Lyons) Ginn. He was raised in the Clay County area, graduated from Trumbull High School in 1973 and attended CCC. Leon married Shirley M. Clark on March 23, 1975 in the Trumbull United Methodist Church, Trumbull. They were married for 43 years.

Leon was a truck driver for Blue Diamond Concrete, CPI for 31 years and currently drove for Aurora Co-op. He was a former member of the Trumbull Village Board for 10 years and a 4-H leader/mentor for the Woolsey Raiders Club, Clay County.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Lyle Ginn, Lennis Ginn, Lowell Ginn and Katherine Ginn.
