Leona Chronopulos

Hastings resident, Leona Anna Chronopulos, 85, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Saturday, July 29, 2006; 2:00 P.M. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Barbara Bauer & Irvin Schleufer, Parish Ministry Associate officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, all in Superior, Nebraska.

Mrs. Chronopulos was born December 10, 1920 in Nuckolls County, near Bostwick, Nebraska to Soren & Katie Christensen. She married Leo Chronopulos on July 11, 1965 and he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and was involved in different activities with Boys Town and supported Omaha Humane Society. She also worked in retail in Hastings & Superior, Nebraska. She moved to Hastings in 2003.

Mrs. Chronopulos was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leo, three sisters, Elsie Wissing, Emma Hughes, Nellie Steele and an infant brother and sister.
