Leonard Debban

September 28, 1926 — June 4, 2004

Leonard Joe Debban, 77, of 1310 N. California, died Friday, June 4, 2004 at his home.

Services will be Monday, June 7, 2004; 2:00 P.M. at Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. Donald E. Boeschen officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mr. Debban was born September 28, 1926 in Frontier County, near Holbrook, Nebraska to George Conrad & Emilie Marie (Linke) Debban. He was baptized October 17, 1926 at West Salem Lutheran Church near Elwood, Nebraska. He was confirmed into the Lutheran Church in May, 1930. He served in the United States Army during WWII from April 12, 1945 until November 25, 1946. His tour of duty was with the Army occupation of Japan. He worked for the Naval Ammunition Depot and was a security guard at Los Alamos, New Mexico. He worked for the United States Postal Service in Hastings, Nebraska for 19 years. On October 10, 1948, he married Wilma Arnett in Phillips, Nebraska at her sister's home. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and the V.F.W.

Mr. Debban was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Simon, Herman, Herbert and Gerald Debban and an infant brother, Berwin Debban
