Leonard Hill, Jr

December 6, 1912 — August 19, 2004

Hastings resident, Leonard C. Hill, Jr., 91, of 900 E. 'B' St., died Thursday, August 19, 2004 at Perkins Pavilion.

Memorial service with Masonic Rites will be Monday, August 23, 2004; 2:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. William Deahl, Jr. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, both in Hastings, Nebraska .

Mr. Hill was born December 6, 1912 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Leonard C. & Maude (Short) Hill. He graduated from Pawnee High School, Pawnee, Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma where he was a R.O.T.C. cadet. He served in the Oklahoma National Guard. He married Juanita 'Pat' Rae Walker on November 17, 1937 in Silver City, New Mexico and she preceded him in death on April 30, 1993. They moved from Oklahoma to Hastings, Nebraska in 1945.He was a Corrosion Engineer for Kansas-Nebraska Energy, now Kinder Morgan, for 40 years, retiring in 1977. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hastings Lodge #50 A.F. & A.M., Scottish Rite, Kiwanis and National Association of Corrosion Engineers.

Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Juniata, son, Leonard III and one brother, Lloyd F. Hill.

Cindy Pate - Casper, WY

Memorial may be given to First United Methodist Church

No viewing-Book signing: Sat. 8-21-04; 8am-5pm
Mon. 8-23-04; 9am-Noon
Mon. 8-23-04; 1 hr. prior to service at the church
