Leonard Krueger

Hastings resident Leonard A. Krueger, 92, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 21, at Peace Lutheran Church in Hastings with Rev. Marcus J. Mackay officiating. Burial with military rites by Hastings Veterans Organizations will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hastings. Memorials may be given to Peace Lutheran Church. Visitation is 1-7 p.m. with family present 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Leonard was born July 17, 1925, in Blue Hill, NE to Leo & Margaret (Kottwitz) Krueger. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on a PT Boat. Leonard married Leona Kuehn on May 16, 1948, at Redeemer Lutheran Church; she preceded him in death on August 21, 2004.

Leonard was employed as a diesel mechanic for Eastside Diesel in Hastings. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Leona Krueger; and siblings, Ray, Roma, Betty, Luella, and Vince.
