Hastings resident, Leslie Jane Dowse, 74, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, November 11, 2016; 10:30 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Bishop MichaelPerry officiating. Burial will be Friday, November 11, 2016; 1:00 P.M. in Harvard Cemetery, Harvard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family. Visitation will be Thursday, November 10, 2016; 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. with family present, and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Jane was born May 12, 1942 in Hastings, Nebraska to Lester & Darline (Albers) McCoy. She was raised in Hastings by Darline and step-father, Doug Strohl, Sr. She resided in Denver, Harvard, and back to Hastings. Jane was married to John Woodward in 1960; they later divorced. She married Jack Dowse on October 31, 1984; he preceded her in death in 2007.

Jane worked in the food service industry for many years. She loved to cook especially for the holidays. Jane always cooked from scratch; her grandchildren loved her cinnamon rolls, pies, and homemade whip cream. She loved candy, flowers, and dogs.

Jane was preceded in death by her father; step-father; three sisters; and husband.
