Leslie W. Krieger

Hastings resident Leslie W. “Les” Krieger, 78, passed away Monday, January 6, 2025, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE. 

Memorial Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, January 17, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Pastor Kathy Uldrich officiating. Private burial will be at Juniata Cemetery in Juniata. There will be no viewing or visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family. 

Les was born April 17, 1946, in Hastings, NE to Amon John and Fern (Miller) Krieger, lived a full life of passion, creativity and love for his family. A talented carpenter for many years, Les later found a deep passion for woodworking after retiring, crafting beautiful furniture and wood pieces with unmatched skill, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship.

A lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, Les spent many years riding with pride, attending motorcycle rallies and embracing the freedom of the open road.

Les was a proud father and deeply involved grandfather, always eager to share his love and wisdom with his family. 

He will be remembered for his zest for life, his dedication to his family and ability to create beauty in everything he touched.

Les was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John and Jim Krieger; and sisters, Marilyn Gilbert, Sharon Morganflash, and Marge Caudillo.
