Lester Shay

Hastings resident, Lester W. Shay, 91, of 414 South Chicago, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at his home.

Graveside service and burial will be Friday, March 21, 2008; 2:00 P.M. at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska with Pastor Millard Huett officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 20, 2008; 5:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. & Friday, March 21, 2008; 9:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be given Mary Lanning Hospice.

Mr. Shay was born January 29, 1917 in Adams County, Nebraska to Bert & Tena (Wright) Shay. He married Thelma Crawford and she preceded him in death on September 28, 1995. He was a life long Adams county farmer and also worked at the Hastings Regional Center from 1957 until his retirement. He was always an old farmer at heart.

Mr. Shay was preceded in death by his parents; wife of over 50 years, Thelma; son, Ronald and a brother, Robert.
