Libby Fischer

Blue Hill resident, Libby Marie Fischer, 81, of Blue Hill Care Center, died Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Blue Hill Care Center.

Services will be Wednesday, November 5, 2008; 2:00 P.M. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hastings, Nebraska with Rev. Robert Smith officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 4, 2008; 5:00 P.M - 9:00 P.M. and Wednesday, November 5, 2008; 9:00 A.M. until noon at the funeral home and 1 hr. prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to Blue Hill Care Center, Blue Hill, Nebraska.

Mrs. Fischer was born March 16, 1927 in Lawrence, Nebraska to Charles Nelson & Verna Lucille (Tilbury) Snell. She graduated from Lawrence High School, Lawrence, Nebraska and married Gehart Fischer. They farmed in Burke, SD and later divorced. She lived in Hastings and later in Lawrence and then to Blue Hill Care Center for 28 years. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Fischer was preceded in death by her parents; sister and spouse, Verna & Lloyd Blau; brother-in-law, Wilbur Blau; great grandson, Javen Witte and a niece, Virginia Blau.
