Lillian Levesque

Hastings resident, Lillian A. Levesque, 86, of Good Samaritan Village, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Perkins Pavilion.

Rosary will be Sunday, March 29, 2009; 7:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 30, 2009; 10:30 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, March 28, 2009; 1:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., Sunday, March 29, 2009; 1:00 P.M. - 9:00 at the funeral home and Monday, March 30, 2009; 1 hr. prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Levesque was born October 8, 1922 to Frank & Anastasia (Cecava) Sykora in Nuckolls County near Lawrence, Nebraska. She attended Lawrence area schools and graduated from San Diego Vocational School, San Diego, California. She worked for Consolidated Aircraft in San Diego for 3 years. On November 24, 1945, she married Joseph A. Levesque in Massachusetts and he preceded her in death on November 6, 1985. She worked at Enterprise Department Store in Fall River, Massachusetts and moved to Hastings in 1963. She worked for J.M. McDonalds and Herberger's Department Store as a sales clerk for 10 years, retiring in 1973. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Altar Society and American Legion Auxiliary.

Mrs. Levesque was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 2 brothers.
