Linda Kelly

October 17, 1948 — July 24, 2007

Hastings resident, Linda L. (Baumgart) Kelly, 58, of 601 North Laird Avenue, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at her home, after a long battle with cancer.

Services will be Saturday, July 28, 2007; 10:00 A.M. at North Shore Assembly of God Church with Pastor Tony Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Thursday & Friday from 9 A.M. to 9 P.M. at the funeral home. And Saturday 1 hr. prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to North Shore Assembly of God Building Fund Trust.

Linda Kelly was born October 17, 1948 in Humphrey, Nebraska to Walter & Elsie (Leffers) Baumgart. She graduated from Humphrey High School in 1967, and from Grand Island School of Business. Linda worked in a bank in Grand Island and Cornhusker Ammunition Depot. In 1970, she married Stan Hoffmeyer and they had three children, later they divorced. On August 10, 1980, she married David L. Kelly. She was a homemaker and was Executive Secretary at the U. S. Meat Animal Research Center in Clay Center, Nebraska where she worked for 34 years. She was a member of North Shore Assembly of God Church, former Sunday school leader and was very active in her church. She was a former member of BPW in Hastings. Faith, family & friends were the center of her life. She fought long & hard with will power & strength and never asked why.

Linda Kelly was preceded in death by parents.
