Lloyd Lenz

Former Hastings resident, Lloyd Edwin Lenz, 87, of De Soto, Missouri, died Thursday, March 22, 2001 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Crystal City, Missouri.

Services will be Monday, March 26, 2001; 10:30 A.M. at the Church of the Nazarene with Rev. David Speicher officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Lloyd Edwin Lenz was born May 18, 1913 in Hastings, Nebraska to John H. & Ollie A. (Kennedy) Lenz. He married Viola J. Grandy, September 10, 1934 and she preceded him in death in 1939. On December 4, 1940, he married Mildred I. Plum in Hastings, Nebraska. She preceded him in death in 1988. He farmed in Adams County, Nebraska and retired in 1969. They moved into Hastings where they lived at 2318 West 7th. He also lived at Village Terrace until moving to Festus, Missouri to live with his son, John in 1999. He was a member of the Church of Nazarene.

Lloyd Edwin Lenz was preceded in death by his parents, 2 wives; Viola J. (Grandy) Lenz & Mildred I. (Plum) Lenz, an infant daughter, daughter, Phyllis, grandson, Stephan Lenz and a sister, Esther (Lenz) Snow.

Butler-Volland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
